Soma Ray-Ellis

  Soma Ray-Ellis finished her B.A. at Trinity College in 1987, University of Toronto, then did her LL.B. at Osgoode Hall Law School and got certified by the Harvard Negotiation Program in 1994. She is the Partner and head of the Employment, Public and Privacy Law Group.

Soma Ray-Ellis has huge knowledge in employment, public and privacy law issues. Other than this, she has experience in wrongful dismissal, Canada Labour Code matters, pay equity, employment standards, occupational health and safety, human rights and workers’ compensation.

Soma Ray-Ellis helps clients with employing and dismissing, acquisitions, ongoing employment and labour issues, start ups, reorganizations and mergers, and she can provide assistance with executive compensation, drafting agreements, statutory compliance, directors and executive liability, successor employer liability issues and due diligence.

Soma Ray-Ellis has also been occupied with negotiations, litigation, representation and mediation ahead of different labour and employment tribunals and courts. She also provides advises to government agencies and departments on public and administrative law processes and issues.
